Hello all,

several parts of a Koshirae can be made from horn.
Now I'm asking myself (and now you) how the fiber flow should be on the parts like Saguri, Kurikata, Koiguchi / Kojiri, Kashira and Hatome to ensure that they will not break.

Especially Saguri and Kurikata look very prone to break if not constructed correctly.
Is there any rule how to cut them from a sheet of horn?

Thanks & regards
Andi B.

Many thanks for the informative sketches - I have a few horn ends and plates waiting to be "transformed"...
