Hello,
I am Roman Urban from Czech Republic. I am a beginner tosogu-shi. This year I will start work as a full-time Japanese sword fittings maker. I figured out that I don't have enought time for doing what I love only after my regular job.

My anthusiasm for this kind of art started when I met works of Patrick Hastings and master Ford Hallam on the Internet. Since this moment I have dreamt about becoming a tosogu-shi :-)
Thanks to them I am on this way and I hope I'll be able to go this way for a long time.

This is my last work. More info and pictures you can see on my website.
The tsuba is copy of work by Higo master Hayashi Matashichi. Fuchi-kashira set is inspired by Higo style set by Ford Hallam. The menuki are copy of Japanese original created by traditional uchidachi technique.
Thank you.
